The bibliographer, Sajid Shaffi, Research Scholar in Islamic Studies at AMU, Aligarh, has listed 490 theses (364 doctoral and 124 masters) on different aspects, themes and sub-fields ofĪbstrak: Tren Baru Studi Sejarah dan Sastra Terhadap al-Qur'an. During the modern period, the Western imperialism paved the way for globalization of English language which, in turn, has culminated in the proliferation of literature on Islam in English. ![]() This has resulted in a rich corpus of the Qur'anic scholarship spread over a range of subfields including translations of the Qur'ān in different languages, commentaries of the Qur'an, Qur'anic lexicon, principles of the Qur'anic exegesis, Qur'anic sciences, etc. ![]() The Holy Qur'ān, the Scripture of Islam, has remained the focus of intellectual engagement throughout history right from its revelation. Bibliography is much more than a mere list of books it portrays major developments and trends in the concerned subject and gives an idea of the various shifts and waves in the intellectual history of a particular field.
